At the Dept. of Language & Speech of the University of Nijmegen we are involved in developing a spoken dialogue system for public transport information. At A2RT we call this spoken dialogue system OVIS : Openbaar Vervoer Informatie Systeem (public transport information system). OVIS is currently online, and part of the dialogues of this online version are recorded. VIOS is our name of the database with these recordings.

Information about OVIS and VIOS can be found in the publications and at the links on this page.

PROJECTS
Part of the work has been carried out in the framework of the following projects:
MAIS: Multilingual Automatic Inquiry Systems
ARISE: Automatic Railway Information Systems for Europe
Information about OVIS (in Dutch) can also be found at the site of OVR: Openbaar Vervoer Reizen (public transport travels).
